		<description>Thanks for the explanation of a couple home security options.  I agree, current (and ever evolving) technology allows people to have more security and more home automation options for lower equipment fees.

A few tips I would add for anyone considering a home security system:
1.  Only contract with companies that guarantee their services.  This guarantee needs to include performance, equipment and labor, emergency service, false alarms and a 6-month money back guarantee.
2.  Ask A LOT of questions about the monitoring center.  No matter how fantastic the equipment, if the monitoring center fails to perform, you have no protection.  Make sure the monitoring center is UL certified, verifies alarms with either audio or video technology and maintains an operator to account ratio less than 1:2,000.  Many large central stations have one person &quot;watching&quot; 10,000 accounts or more.
3.  Talk to local police or deputies.  Although they can&#039;t recommend a security company, they can tell you which alarms are more reliable and more accurate.</description>
